The Fasting Mimicking Diet™ convinces the body it is fasting, while still being able to eat three meals a day.
Is ProLon® For Me?
ProLon® is intended for use by healthy individuals who want to optimise their health and wellbeing; by overweight or obese individuals who want to manage their weight in an easy and healthy way; and by people who have well-known markers for chronic and unhealthy conditions.
All candidates for the ProLon® diet must fill out a health self-assessment in order to determine their suitability for the programme. If the results are uncertain in any way, you will be referred to a healthcare provider.
How to take ProLon®
Consume the ProLon® meal plan for 5 consecutive days every 1 to 6 months based on need and recommendations by your healthcare provider.
Do not consume any other food and preferably no additional liquid other than water. Your doctor can approve exceptions.
Resume your normal diet for the rest of the month, making sure to undergo the one-day transition diet at the end of the 5 days.

Who should engage in the ProLon® dietary programme?
ProLon is suitable for use for anyone who is looking to optimise their health. ProLon® was shown in clinical trials to have beneficial effects on a wide variety of markers: it decreased abdominal fat while increasing relative lean body mass, decreases fasting glucose, reduces C-reactive protein (a marker of inflammation), and reduced IGF-1 (associated with increased DNA damage, mortality and ageing in humans).
Can ProLon® be used by patients with a chronic illness or disease?
Depending on the medical illness or disease, past medical history, and current medications, the ProLon® dietary programme might be combined with the standard of care treatment; however, ProLon® cannot be prescribed to prevent or treat diseases. Contact the healthcare provider most familiar with the illness or disease to discuss the ProLon® dietary programme.
If extra calories throughout the day are needed, what can be consumed?
Nothing extra should be eaten while on the ProLon® dietary programme. Since this diet is low calorie, followers may experience the feeling of slight weakness and possible dizziness as the body adjusts, especially on Day 2. This is normal. Usually by Day 3 this decreases; however, should the symptoms be severe, fruit juices can be consumed and call your doctor or 999 for emergencies. The supervising healthcare professional should then review if it is safe for the patient to continue on the diet. The energy drink provided in the diet boxes, to be taken throughout the day, provides not only nutritional support during the diet, but can be specifically helpful in these instances.
