Days spent in the sun can be good for total relaxation and rejuvenation, but too much sun exposure can wreak havoc with our skin, causing pigmentation and sun-spots as well as premature ageing. So here at Courthouse Clinics, we have collated the best treatments to help reverse the damage caused by the sun, and return your skin to a more youthful, radiant and healthy glow.
The ClearLift laser Facelift uses laser to create tiny areas of damage which trigger a healing response by the skin, resulting in a reduction of pigmentation, melasma, fine lines and wrinkles, as well as lifting and firming. Since the laser targets the skin below the surface, there is no downtime, pain or discomfort and the treatment can be carried out in as little as thirty minutes, hence its moniker the ‘lunchtime facelift’.
Harmony IPL Skin Rejuvenation tackles pigmentation directly by the controlled use of pulsed light, which reaches under the surface layers of the skin to damage the area of pigmentation or blood vessel, which is then eliminated by the body. Effects are apparent after several treatments when the skin appears smoother with less pigmentation and fewer lines and wrinkles.
TheeDermastamp takes medical micro-needling to a new level, by safely creating thousands of microchannels in the skin to induce healing and creation of new collagen and elastic fibres. This means that skin is rejuvenated, pigmentation and scarring is reduced, lines and wrinkles are minimised, and overall texture and tone of the skin is improved. The perfect post summer treatment!
If a pampering peel treatment is more your style, then our Jan Marini Retinol WOW Peel might be just up your street! Using a powerful combination of ingredients including glycolic acid to stimulate cell turnover, retinol and peptides to stimulate fibroblasts, and Vitamin C as an antioxidant, the peel helps to remove dead and dry skin cells, eliminate fine lines and wrinkles, promote smoothness and increase hydration. Skin is left looking seriously WOW!
Our ever popular Hydrafacial treatments work to promote overall skin health, with a combination of exfoliation, hydration, cleansing, extraction and detoxification. In particular, the Hydra-Bright treatment helps to decrease brown spots and pigmentation and fights against the damaging effects of free radicals, making it ideal for those who have had too much sun exposure.
The Image Skincare 02 Oxygen Lift is also the ideal way to hydrate the skin deeply, exfoliating and oxygenating dull, tired or dehydrated skin using a combination of a plant derived enzyme peel to exfoliate and stimulate collagen production, an oxygenating masque to deliver oxygen into the skin and a stem cell enhancer to repair and rejuvenate leaving skin looking refreshed and glowing.
Your therapist will carry out a detailed consultation to guide you to the best treatment that suits your skin and your concerns, so you can enjoy healthy, radiant and youthful skin.
Modern life can be hectic and tiring. We are exposed to many factors which accelerate our ageing and damage our skin, breaking down the natural components within the skin layers far more rapidly than nature intended, leaving us looking older than we are. Fortunately, thanks to scientific research and the development of techniques and treatments, we are able to give skin a helping hand to turn back the clock and look and feel our best.
At Courthouse Clinics we work with a team of highly trained doctors and nurses who are experts in the aesthetic medical field with many years experience as well as regular training to ensure that they use the safest, most effective and best treatments and techniques available in the market. Our experts work closely with each patient to create a bespoke treatment that gives the optimum result for each individual.
As we age, the levels of hyaluronic acid which occur naturally in our bodies start to reduce, as do the levels of elastin and collagen fibres which give the skin its elasticity and youthfulness. As a result, we see the tell-tale signs of ageing, such as loss of volume, sagging skin, fine lines and wrinkles. All of which can be accelerated by harmful environmental triggers.
Dermal fillers are able to replace lost volume, soften lines and wrinkles, provide a lifting effect and re-create facial contours. At Courthouse Clinics, we use a non-animal synthetic hyaluronic acid which is biocompatible with that of our natural hyaluronic acid. Dermal fillers are injected below the surface of the skin where they combine with water to swell and cause a plumping and lifting effect. Careful sculpting using the fillers can help to restore the contours of the face at the cheekbones, reduce naso-labial folds, restore lost volume of the lips and under the eyes or create a fuller pout.
Anti-ageing injectables, commonly known as Botox, act by relaxing and temporarily freezing or paralysing the facial muscles by injecting a tiny controlled amount of toxin. Therefore muscle contractions are reduced which results in a softening of the lines and wrinkles and helps to prevent future ones. Botox can be used to reduce crows feet, frown and forehead wrinkles, chin dimples and lines on the neck. It can also help to relieve migraines, soften a strong jaw and reduce excessive sweating. Dermal Fillers and Botox can be used in combination to achieve a harmonious rejuvenation of the face and neck.
The loss of elasticity in the skin causes sagging and drooping, particularly around the jaw area. Thanks to new technology and techniques, we are able to use fine, biodegradable threads which can be inserted into the face and gently pulled to lift and contour without damage and without undergoing a surgical procedure. This is known as a Thread Lift, a quick procedure with minimal downtime and instant results. A consultation with one of our experts can determine your suitability for a Thread Lift.
Vitamin IV infusions can deliver vitamins and minerals directly into the bloodstream under the supervision of our nurse prescriber. The Anti-Ageing vitamin IV infusion contains Glutathione which helps to neutralise free-radicals and delivers a dose of B and C vitamins to protect and repair the skin. An ideal way to hold back the years!
Speak to our team to arrange a consultation to discuss your specific concerns and aims, and to find out which treatments would suit you best.
The summer months can play havoc with sensitive or problem skin – dehydration, exposure to sun and higher temperatures and travel can lead to break-outs, increased rosacea and pigmentation and an acceleration of the visible signs of ageing. So, here at Courthouse Clinics, we have a wide range of treatments which can be used to target your specific concerns to ensure that your skin stays radiant and healthy throughout the warmer months.

Dermalux LED has a proven research history that demonstrates its phenomenal ability to help heal and rejuvenate skin. Safe for all skin types, it is a relaxing, pain-free and quick way to stimulate the body’s own healing and repair processes, to calm inflammation and to eliminate acne causing bacteria. It has proven benefits for sufferers of rosacea, red or flushed skin, acne or break-out prone skin and for dehydrated and lack-lustre skin. It can be used as a stand-alone treatment or in combination with other treatments to enhance their effectivity.
The Harmony IPL Skin Rejuvenation treatment kick-starts the natural healing and repair systems within the skin by creating localised damage which leads to a breakdown and removal of broken blood vessels, sun and age spots, pigmentation, large pores and an improvement in the appearance of lines and wrinkles. It is highly beneficial in the treatment of rosacea and to improve the texture of the skin. Skin appears more youthful, fresher and healthier.
Of course, sun protection is vital in keeping the harmful rays from the sun from causing damage, whilst allowing the benefits of sun exposure, such as increased Vitamin D. We stock a variety of UVA and UVB sun protection, and we are happy to help you find the best fit for your skin’s needs.
Many of us suffer with problem skin thanks to our genetics, the environment, stress, and a myriad of other factors. For some this might be a mild annoyance, but for others it can have a serious impact on confidence and happiness. So how can we help?
The first step on the journey to improve problem skin is speaking to an expert who can analyse your skin to give a clear picture of what exactly is going on. Start with a consultation using the Visia Skin Analysis system, using up-to-the-minute technology to analyse and measure skin for factors affecting complexion health such as the texture, wrinkles, pores, scars, acne, pigmentation, sun damage and rosacea. Once this is complete, our experts can then devise a personalised skin programme for treatments and products to help improve skin health.
Our incredibly popular Hydrafacial treatment is ideal to improve the health of the skin with an instant and visible impact. Combining six different steps, the Hydrafacial treatment cleanses, extracts, detoxes, hydrates and provides antioxidant protection for the skin to help reduce sun damage and pigmentation, improve the texture and tone of the skin, hydrate dry or dehydrated skin and balance oily and congested skin. It also helps to minimise enlarged pores and stimulates collagen for long term anti-ageing. The selection of targeted Hydrafacial treatments get to work on specific concerns including the Hydrafusion which reduces lines and wrinkles and improves elasticity; Hydrabright which minimises brown spots and pigmentation whilst fighting free radical damage; HydraLight which tackles congested, oily and blemish prone skin. No wonder it is a firm Hollywood favourite.
Carefully selected peels can also target problematic skin. The Jan Marini Glycolic Acid Facial Peel is a gentle skin peel which can be used to lift away dead skin cells, helping to eliminate fine lines and reduce dry, thickened or congested skin. It also helps the skin to rejuvenate and this improves the texture and increases hydration and tone. During your consultation, your therapist will advise which type of peel would best suit your skin.
Also for those with congested skin, we highly recommend our Deep Cleansing Facial which clears skin of blackheads, reduces congestion, brightens and balances the skin. The facial is tailored to your exact skin care needs and includes exfoliation, steam, extractions and a mask. An excellent step on the pathway to healthy, glowing skin.
Rosacea and pigmentation can be improved using Harmony IPL Skin Rejuvenation, which is a non-invasive and no-downtime treatment which can improve the appearance of red and flushed skin due to broken capillaries, and can minimise large pores and pigmentation and sun spots. It can help to brighten dull complexions and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, leaving skin looking and feeling fresher and younger.
Much research has gone into the development of a treatment which is at the forefront of medical advances within recent years – the use of stem cells to restore, rejuvenate and repair cells within the body. Our VIP Stem Cell Facial harnesses the power of stem cells to increase collagen and elastic fibre production, reduce inflammation and rosacea, and to promote hydration at a cellular level. The stem cells are sourced ethically with no harm to animals and we expect to see many more treatments with stem cells in the near future.
Light therapy has been proven in over 40 years of research to be highly effective at calming and improving skin conditions, as well as offering a boost to overall well-being. Red light helps to stimulate the natural skin healing and rejuvenation process, causing an improvement in skin tone and texture and repair of photo damage and a reduction in pigmentation. It is perfect for those suffering with rosacea, eczema and psoriasis. Blue light targets inflammatory acne and destroys bacteria that build up in pores. It also helps reduce oil production and reduces inflammation. Infrared light helps the effectivity of both red and blue light and promotes cellular function to really see results quickly. We absolutely love light treatment! Try our DermaLUX LED therapy for amazing results!
Cellulite. The sight of it in the mirror might fill us with horror, but its something which affects a whopping 80-90% of the female population, varying in appearance and severity. Why do we have it and what can we do about it?
What causes the skin dimpling?
Cellulite is caused by a variety of factors including gender (women rather than men), genetics, hormone balance (oestrogen and stress hormones play a big part), lifestyle and diet, skin architecture, inflammation and micro-circulation. This multi-factorial condition appears as lumps on the surface of the skin, most often around the thighs and buttocks, although also on tummies and arms, because sub-cutaneous fat pushes through the overlying connective tissue. The structure of connective tissue in men is different from women, hence the reason we rarely see cellulite in men.
Which treatments can help?
Using an award winning combination of infrared light, bi-polar radio-frequency and vacuum, Velashape III is able to heat fat and connective tissue at a deep level. This heating causes an increase in localised circulation, an elimination of fluid and fatty deposits, improved lymphatic drainage and a tightening of the skin. The result is smoother skin, reduced lumps and bumps and a very visible improvement in the appearance of cellulite. Skin is strengthened and lifted, and collagen is realigned, which also helps in the reduction of cellulite.
Endermologie Anti Cellulite Treatment is a fast, pain-free, no downtime treatment which involves the use of two motorised rollers with suction which are rolled over the body. The blood and lymph circulation are stimulated to help remove toxins and trigger the body’s own natural process of fat elimination. Skin is left firmer, tighter, and more toned and excess fluid is eliminated resulting in smoother contours.
Many years of collaboration with plastic surgeons, sports physicians and physiotherapists led to the development of the Body Ballancer Lymph Drainage treatment which works to improve the flow of lymph and promote the elimination of fluid and toxins, helping to reduce the appearance of cellulite. The removal of excess fluid also aids in weight loss as well as relief of muscular pain, relaxation and a feeling of general well-being.
The controlled application of Exilis Elite combines high energy, mono-polar, radio-frequency and ultrasound to heat and melt fat cells which are then removed by the body’s own lymphatic drainage system. Skin is also tightened and lifted, with an overall result in the decrease of the appearance of cellulite. The treatment is painless with no downtime.
What else can help combat cellulite?
Research has shown that a diet rich in green leafy vegetables and fresh, organic foods can help reduce toxins and promote the removal of excess fluid. Regular exercise also helps micro-circulation and lymphatic drainage, both of which aid in the reduction of cellulite. In addition, our Diet and Detox Vitamin IV infusion might be the perfect way to give your body that extra boost to help with detoxification and weight loss.
Different hormones have been shown to have an impact on cellulite, so if you find that you are suffering from the myriad symptoms of hormone imbalance, such as hot flushes, anxiety, mood swings, loss of libido, painful or irregular periods, to name but a few, then it may be worth considering Bio-Identical Hormone Therapy. This therapy is unlike conventional HRT, because instead of using synthetic hormones, BHRT uses hormones which are identical in structure to the ones that occur naturally in our bodies. In this way, balance can be achieved without the unpleasant side effects of synthetic hormones, and women often report a reduction in cellulite once their hormones are more balanced.
Lines and wrinkles on the face and neck are one of the first signs of ageing and can make us look so much older than we feel. Often starting in our twenties, these lines usually appear first on the delicate skin around the eyes as crow’s feet, and on the forehead as expression lines, and gradually get deeper and more profound over time.
Elastic fibres in the skin, such as elastin and collagen, start to degrade in our twenties, as well as the natural reduction in hyaluronic acid, the substance which provides turgor and hydration for the skin. As a result, skin loses its ability to ‘bounce back’ as easily and this is when lines and wrinkles start to develop, especially in the areas which have the most movement. Help is at hand, however, and we have rounded up our favourite ways to banish the lines!
Our Stay Young Non-Surgical Face-Lift is the ideal way to enjoy the benefits of a facelift without the invasive surgery. Using a micro-current which sends tiny electrical impulses through the skin, the Stay Young technology results in a stimulation of local circulation, an increase in lymphatic drainage, elimination of toxins and an increase in collagen production. It smooths lines and wrinkles, reduces puffiness, lifts sagging muscles and enhances the skin tone. Skin looks plumper, firmer and more youthful.
The Clear-Lift Laser Facelift can take years off your face in a matter of minutes and is often known as the ‘Lunchtime Facelift’. The laser causes tiny areas of localised damage which stimulate a healing response, triggering a tightening of elastic fibres and new elastic fibres to be created in the skin. This causes a lifting and tightening of the skin, a reduction of lines and wrinkles and less pigmentation. We see a more radiant, refreshed, younger looking skin – perfect!
Award winning Legato Fraction RF Skin Resurfacing uses a combination of iPixelRF and IMPACT Ultrasound acoustic vibrations to rejuvenate skin. The iPixel moves across the skin creating tiny microchannels. The ultrasound then helps the penetration of active ingredients through these microchannels which get to work on stimulating elastic fibre renewal, resulting in the reduction of scarring, lines, wrinkles, pigmentation and stretch marks.
Botox, an anti-ageing injectable, can be used to temporarily freeze the facial muscles underlying the lines and wrinkles. This results in less movement, and a softening of the lines and wrinkles making them less apparent. In addition, it can help prevent future wrinkles. Careful administration of Botox by our medical team can help to reduce crow’s feet, frown lines, forehead lines, neck lines and chin dimples. We will work with you to create a natural look for a more youthful you!
Remember that a healthy diet, rich in vegetables and fruits, as well as effective sun protection, a reduction in sugar intake and no smoking, can all help to keep skin from premature ageing.
