Exilis Elite
Exilis is an Award winning FDA approved device that offers a revolutionary non-invasive form of treatment for the reduction of wrinkles and to give a younger looking and firmer skin. It can also be used for reshaping and contouring of the body and reduction of targeted fat deposits, with long-lasting results. Areas for treatment include the eye area, chin, jaw line, around the mouth, the décolleté, abdomen, back, arms, legs, knees and cankles.
The Exilis treatment uses a combination of high energy, mono polar, radio frequency and ultrasound in a controlled fashion with a unique cooling feature to provide a comfortable but effective treatment. The Exilis can be used on virtually any area of the body and face. The treatment has been clinically tested and scientifically proven to treat laxity and melt fat within several painless treatment sessions.
How does it work?The Exilis procedure uses ultrasound and controlled heating to deliver deep thermal heat into the skin. This causes disruption of the collagen fibres, resulting in collagen remodelling and skin tightening. The heat also stimulates local metabolism which results in fat breakdown.The technology is highly controlled so that it delivers accurate heating and cooling, combined with the beneficial effects of mechanical waves. This control of Radio Frequency, coupled with the constant monitoring of skin temperature, allows the treatment to reach the correct temperature in the shortest amount of time, providing a comfortable treatment for the client with the added bonus of outstanding results.
What is involved during the treatment?Your Aesthetic Therapist will first perform an in-depth consultation and your medical history will be taken, to ensure that there are no reasons why you shouldn’t have the treatment, and you will be asked to sign a consent form at this time which means that you have understood the potential benefits and risks associated. Your Aesthetic Therapist will then take a Visia Skin Analysis of your skin to enable us to create a bespoke programme for you and to answer any questions you may have prior to starting treatment.Your therapist will cleanse your skin and then apply a cool gel on the area to be treated, the handpeice is then slowly worked over the area of concern in circular motions, gently warming the skin. The gel is then removed and a moisturiser and SPF is applied.
Does it hurt?No, the procedure is comfortable and often clients note that it is relaxing.What is the skin’s appearance after the treatment?Your skin will have a slight red/pinkness to it immediately after treatment, which will generally fade within a few hours.Is it suitable for all skin types?Yes it is – all skin types and colours can be treatedWhen will I see results?You will see immediate results and then the results will become more over the next month as the collagen is remodelling.Is there any downtime?No, you can resume normal activities and wear make-up (mineral make-up is advised) following the treatment.How many treatments will I need?We recommend a course of 4 treatments spaced at weekly intervals.
